MTDC is committed to empowering women through tourism. The “Aai” Women-Centric / Gender-Inclusive Tourism Policy aims to create meaningful employment, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities for women, especially from remote and underserved regions of Maharashtra.
As part of this initiative, MTDC operates fully women-managed resorts and tourist facilities, along with women-led services such as tour guiding, experiential tourism, aquatic sports, transport, and curated travel experiences. MTDC is the first tourism corporation in India to implement a dedicated women-centric tourism policy at scale.
