About

The Titwala Ganesh Temple, also known as the Siddhivinayak Mahaganpati Temple, is steeped in ancient legends. Located in Titwala, a small town in Kalyan, the shrine is visited by many devotees who believe that if the Ganesha idol is prayed to with pure devotion, broken marriages can be fixed. According to a legend, the temple was built by the mother of emperor Bharat, Shakuntala and several years later, it submerged under a water tank. It was only in 1865 during the rule of a Peshwa, was the temple found and built once again.

A visit to the ancient temple will leave you feeling positive and relaxed. The temple is thronged by many to admire the craftsmanship of the structure and the imposing size of the idol that is beautifully placed at a pedestal. Easily accessible by car, this place of worship is a must-visit for Ganpati devotees and history enthusiasts.
